Instant Mango Rasmalai (Bread Rasmalai)
This Instant Mango Rasmalai is a quick summer dessert made with bread instead of traditional paneer. Creamy, fruity, and absolutely delicious with mango puree, coconut milk, and heavy cream—no paneer making or baking required!
Steps
- Make mango puree and add cardamom powder for flavor
- Cut the bread slices and press them flat
- Make the filling by mixing ½ cup sugar, ½ cup coconut milk, 1 cup mango puree, and whipping cream
- Mix custard powder with some milk in a small bowl
- Warm 1 liter of milk in a saucepan
- Add the custard mixture to the warm milk and keep stirring until it becomes thick
- Once boiling, switch off the stove and add ¼ cup sugar
- Add saffron to the mango milk
- Take a tray and place the pressed bread slices
- Add one spoon of filling to each bread slice
- Cover with more bread slices
- Pour mango milk over the bread so it soaks in
- Top with whipped cream, fresh mango pieces, and strawberries
- Refrigerate for 1-2 hours before serving
