Instant Mango Rasmalai (Bread Rasmalai)

This Instant Mango Rasmalai is a quick summer dessert made with bread instead of traditional paneer. Creamy, fruity, and absolutely delicious with mango puree, coconut milk, and heavy cream—no paneer making or baking required!

Steps

  1. Make mango puree and add cardamom powder for flavor
  2. Cut the bread slices and press them flat
  3. Make the filling by mixing ½ cup sugar, ½ cup coconut milk, 1 cup mango puree, and whipping cream
  4. Mix custard powder with some milk in a small bowl
  5. Warm 1 liter of milk in a saucepan
  6. Add the custard mixture to the warm milk and keep stirring until it becomes thick
  7. Once boiling, switch off the stove and add ¼ cup sugar
  8. Add saffron to the mango milk
  9. Take a tray and place the pressed bread slices
  10. Add one spoon of filling to each bread slice
  11. Cover with more bread slices
  12. Pour mango milk over the bread so it soaks in
  13. Top with whipped cream, fresh mango pieces, and strawberries
  14. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours before serving
