Crispy Air Fryer Tofu Bowl
This crispy tofu bowl uses one simple trick to transform tofu from soggy to perfectly crispy: freezing it for 24 hours before cooking. The result is a high-protein, flavor-packed meal that's perfect for meal prep or a healthy dinner.
Steps
- Freeze tofu for 24 hours, then thaw and squeeze out all water
- Chop tofu into pieces and add cornstarch, chili flakes, pepper powder, salt, and 2 tbsp soy sauce, mixing to coat well
- Place tofu in air fryer at 350°F for 20 minutes and spray with oil
- Prepare vegetables: shave carrot, slice onion and bell peppers, slice cucumber into rounds, chop purple cabbage, yellow pepper, and spring onion
- Make peanut dressing by blending garlic, peanut butter, hoisin sauce, sweet chili sauce, oyster sauce, soy sauce, and orange juice until smooth
- Assemble bowl with rice, prepared vegetables, edamame, and avocado
- Top with air-fried tofu and drizzle with peanut dressing
- Garnish with sesame seeds, roasted peanuts, and spring onions, then mix well
