This 3-ingredient Orange Posset is a creamy, citrusy, no-bake dessert that's perfect for summer. Served in real orange peels for a beautiful zero-waste presentation, it requires no gelatin, no eggs, and no oven.

Steps

  1. Cut 6โ€“8 oranges in half and scoop out all the pulp, keeping the peels intact to use as serving bowls.
  2. Squeeze the orange pulp to extract 16 oz (2 cups) of fresh orange juice and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, mix 1 cup sugar with 1 tbsp freshly grated orange zest.
  4. Add 16 oz (2 cups) heavy cream to the sugar mixture and mix well.
  5. Transfer the cream mixture to a pan and cook over medium heat, stirring, until thickened.
  6. Turn off the heat and slowly stir in the fresh orange juice.
  7. Let the mixture cool slightly, then carefully pour into the hollowed orange peels.
  8. Place the filled orange peels in a bowl or dish to prevent spilling.
  9. Garnish with sliced almonds or extra zest if desired.
  10. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or freeze for a firmer texture) before serving.
