Orange Posset
This 3-ingredient Orange Posset is a creamy, citrusy, no-bake dessert that's perfect for summer. Served in real orange peels for a beautiful zero-waste presentation, it requires no gelatin, no eggs, and no oven.
Steps
- Cut 6โ8 oranges in half and scoop out all the pulp, keeping the peels intact to use as serving bowls.
- Squeeze the orange pulp to extract 16 oz (2 cups) of fresh orange juice and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix 1 cup sugar with 1 tbsp freshly grated orange zest.
- Add 16 oz (2 cups) heavy cream to the sugar mixture and mix well.
- Transfer the cream mixture to a pan and cook over medium heat, stirring, until thickened.
- Turn off the heat and slowly stir in the fresh orange juice.
- Let the mixture cool slightly, then carefully pour into the hollowed orange peels.
- Place the filled orange peels in a bowl or dish to prevent spilling.
- Garnish with sliced almonds or extra zest if desired.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or freeze for a firmer texture) before serving.
