Homemade Chicken Momos
These juicy homemade chicken momos are packed with flavor and served with a delicious soy-sesame dipping sauce. Perfect for snacks, appetizers, or family gatherings!
Steps
- Add ground chicken to a mixing bowl
- Crack and add 1 egg to the bowl
- Add 1 tbsp minced garlic and 1 tbsp minced ginger
- Add chopped onion and mixed vegetables
- Add black pepper, chili flakes (if using), cilantro, and spring onions
- Add dark soy sauce, oyster-flavored sauce, and hoisin sauce
- Add salt to taste and mix all ingredients together thoroughly
- Cut dumpling sheets into quarters if needed
- Wet the edges of each wrapper slightly with water
- Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each wrapper and fold into desired shape (round, triangle, etc.)
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan over medium heat
- Place dumplings in the pan carefully
- Add 1/2 cup water to the pan and immediately cover with lid
- Cook for 10 minutes until done
- For dipping sauce: combine 2 tbsp soy sauce, sesame seeds, pinch of salt, chili flakes, and honey
- Add chopped spring onions to the sauce and mix well
- Carefully remove cooked momos from pan and serve hot with dipping sauce
